When an inspection makes sense
Request an inspection after moving in, replacing a dryer, finding lint in an unexpected area, noticing moisture, or dealing with a route that has never been evaluated.
What to describe
Include dryer type, floor level, approximate vent length, outlet location, visible duct material, and symptoms. Photos may be useful if a provider asks for them.
Inspection is not a remote diagnosis
The form gathers information, but a concealed vent cannot be confirmed from a message alone. A provider determines the proper onsite evaluation.
Common questions
Before you request help
Can airflow be tested?
Providers may use visual checks, airflow measurements, or inspection tools depending on the job.
Is flexible foil duct acceptable?
Safe applications and requirements vary. A qualified provider should inspect the actual installation.
